Hey all. Yeah Caden helped me blow my candles out at my birthday. It was fun. I love Boston's pics of the snowman. I showed some people at work today and they were like good gawd that's a lot of snow.

Those pictures of Brock are cute. I love the mashed potatoes, green beans and chicken. Wow, if that ain't a Gowens' meal I don't know what is. hehehe.

Thanks Kittie for helping me rally everybody. I agree, we all want to hear from you. I truly don't mind updating this more than once a week when I get new stuff from everybody. On top of that, it is so awesome to look into everybody's lives. Really makes me feel good after a day of haste. So!!! Where are all of you.

Okay get ready, here comes the Artie FACE!!! YOu see it!!! You see it!! If you don't blog now after you read this, it will haunt you and then she will be forced to come hit you upside the head. Okay, don't be lazy. Type, type, type. It's not hard. And if you got a hesitance or scared or mad, then I'm calling you out. I ain't scared. Be proud of you and brag on yourself! If not you then who??? Love and waiting, Blair (The Man, The Myth, The Legend) hehe

Blair, just wanted to say Thanks for spotlighting Crosbyton this week...the page is great....Crosbyton may be alot of things, good and bad, but it's HOME....And where most of us were born and raised....
Hey, just checked out Brock's new pics on his website and they are soooo cute!!! The one of him on his belly asleep looks just like his "Poppy"....cute, cute.....

love to all,
kittie
Hey everyone, Was glad to hear from Blair, was getting worried he was sick. Sorry Jay was not feeling good, hope all is okay now. Had a busy day at work today and don't know anything.Pretty normal for me. Looks like more cold weather tomorow. Hard to get warm. Blair I checked out your BD pictures on the Griffin site and boy do you look "grey" or "green". Was the cake too sweet or what??Hell to get old isn't it?Also on the Griffin's was that truly an anniversary picture or was it an engagement picture, which ever, it was so cute.Later, Maw
Hey,

I had a good long visit with Mike last night on the phone...He informed me that he does not "bloog" but does read it...Hey, Mike isn't that like "spying" or "eaves dropping"....I know you know how to type, you signed on the computer didn't you?!?!? And we all know you have ALOT to say...hahaha....Hey, it was great visiting with you....Miss all of you very much...Well, Blair looks like it is just me, Ma and you...and then there were three....lol....Hey, everybody give Blair a break....he is trying so hard....And this is a good place for everyone to keep up with what is going on with each one....We all have busy lives and just sending a note on here every once in a while would kind of keep everyone in touch....Prays to the Hodges and Chappell families this week...They are going to need our prayers....
Love to all,
kittie

Hey Everybody, I'm glad to hear Susan is feeling better. I'm really hope everybody else gets to feeling better too. Kittie, I'll be thinkin' about Gary Dale and hope everything comes out okay. I just know it will. I bet you are enjoying watching Boston and Montana. Brings back old up at the gym memories. Fun! If you get a chance, capture of picture for me. Thanks for the snow pictures.

Maw, thanks for the update. Susan, hope you are feeling better. Let us know if there is anything the Fort Worth gang can do. Love you all.

Okay, where is everybody else on the blog. I know you're all still breathing, haven't seen your names in the obituary. Just kidding. Seriously though, blog!! Love, Blair
Hey,

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone...Hope everyone is doing well and feeling better....As Ma said Boston is playing RA basketball and we have been going to watch Montana play basketball too. She is in the 7th grade now!! I feel like I am starting all over again watching my girls....I love it!
Gary has two doctor appointments tomorrow...hopefully they will not find anything, even though guess it would be nice to know what is going on with him....Maybe it will be something that simply some kind of medicine or treatment can cure....Ya'll know that I cannot live without him, so pray for him...This has also been kind of an emotional week for him...He retired from the fire department this past week....After 30 years....The department is just not the same as it used to be in the "good ole' days"....Anyway he dedicated many years to our community and I am very proud of him....He has seen alot and learned alot about himself and other people....
Well guess tomorrow is MONDAY AGAIN.....Hope everyone has a good week....
love to all,
kittie
Good morning to all. Is no one Blogging ? Things are about the same with us. Had cold wind yesterday so stayed in did house chores and worked on Tolby Britches quilt. It is coming along really good. Was wondering if April is feeling okay and has she been back to doctor for another report? Blair, read where you had trouble with your bank account. Hope you got it all secured! That can be really scary. Betsy it was good to see you had a post, way to go girl. I will try to report on Brice, even tho I am not the one that should be doing it, I proably won't get it all straight. They did the scope test on him and he had a tear in his esophagus and was possibly where he was losing blood but it seem to have been healing itself so they will monitor his blood count to see how that is going. I believe tomorrow they are going to put a "screen" in a vein in order to screen out a blood clog he has in his leg (?) I believe is what Susan said. If that all goes well, he can be started back on his Heprin. I am not sure what that is for, to thin the blood, maybe (?) I told you I am not the one to be telling this but Blair had ask if anyone had any word. Judy and Jo came for the weekend to relieve Susan and Janie some. Susan has been very sick but is getting better with some rest. Boston is playing RA basketball and had 2 games yesterday, his team won both. We watched the Lady Raiders game on TV yesterday and if you saw it, you know how J W must have jumped out of his chair when Alesha hit that 3 pointer to win the game. Got to get busy so I'll check on everyone later. Maw

Sunday, January 21, 2007

Kittie, thanks for the pics of Boston. Wow ya'll got a lot of snow.

Okay, everybody, where are your pics and how you are doing?? I am so glad that Brice is doing better. Susan, you okay?? Need anything. We love you very much..

Peggy, how's Mariposa going? Got any new pics for your website connection??

Jill, haven't heard from you on here? Where are ya' girl??

James and Shavonne, so glad you got settled into your house.

Dad, proud of you. You are the Funeral Man. You put Adam's Funeral home to shame. No Doubt. You can perserve, embalm the dead and take care of the families better than anybody else. Go DAD, Go DAD!!!

Okay, anybody got anything new going on. Love, Blair
Good morning, the sun is shining bright and ice is melting from the trees and houses. We will have lots of tree damage all over town from the ice. Saw lots of big branches broke yesterday when I got out once to go borrow movies at Kittie's for Ryan. We lost satellite yesterday afternoon. Peggy called me with a way to "trick" the system to be able to get local channels so we had some TV. Then about 9:30 last night the power went off for about 2 hours. Ryan was all of a sudden, hungry and no microwave. Ha.He lit burner on the stove with a match, no ignition when the power is off, and fried him some hamburger meat. We always want to do things when there is no power. At least we did not get cold, the house stayed pretty warm until it came back on. So glad Blair had such a nice party. Wish we could have been there. Guess it will be back to work tomorrow. I am just thankful I am able to go to work, thankful for my health. We are so truly blessed in so many ways. Hope everyone has a nice relaxing day today. Peggy told me she did not have any internet yesterday. She is on the Door. Mine is on phone system so it has been okay. Maw
Hello this morning, hope this finds you guys all fine and well. I blogged on the Gsisters side about Blairs BD. As you can see we had a fun and relaxing time. It is good to get to do this some times. Wish you guys could have been here also. Love to all. Eletia

Hey Maw, thanks for wishing me Happy Birthday. Yeah, I am excited about getting my first week accomplished. Jay and my parents went in and got me a really cool compact black refrigerator for my office so I can have my own personal water and also have good nutritous foods and lunches, etc for me and my people I will consulting, counseling, etc.

So not as much snow as predicted. Yeah it's funny whenever they say huge snow storms and the shelves at the grocery look like a ghost town. We buy all this food just to throw it away. Oh well, thats the American way.

I'm glad to hear that Brice is doing better. I have been thinkin and prayin for him. How's everybody else. Love ya all and thanks Maw, love you very much. Blair

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLAIR

Hey big guy, Happy Birthday today!Hope you have had a good week and now that you got your feet wet, this next week will proably be easier. Anyway, have a great day and remember that we all love you very much, O'Ye, The Great Creator of the family web site. We appreciate you and all you effort very much.We have not gotten near the snow they were predicting but it is very cold and icy. We all laid in enough food to last until Spring proably. They put out warnings and we act if there will never be another warm day that we can get out and go to the store. Ha These winter storms are usually gone in a couple of days. Our weekend plans are to watch TV and eat I guess. I hope to get some work done on Tolby Britches quilt, if the guys will leave me alone.Eletia, I thought you sounded like you were asleep the last time I talked to you, long week and long day, huh? Mike called me back and was on another run to pick up someone. He is just like the roadrunner. It was good to talk to him last night. Not sure if I have the facts correct but Brice might be released Monday and maybe sent to Crosbyton Hospital Swing Bed unit for re-hab for a few weeks. Guess when surgery is over and no more treatment, the hospital ships you out to someone else. Anyway he seems to be doing really good, sat up in a chair yesterday for a couple of hours. Caden, you better start sleeping in later, you little bugger.Hoping everyone has a good safe weekend. Maw
Good Morning CTown, hope you guys are all safe and warm. We have had some bad weather this week also. Mike & I have only seen each other in passing this week, due to mine and Mikes work schedule.
Kathryn it was good to talk to you yesterday and sorry I was almost out of it by the last time we talked. Mike did make it home safe and sound from Crowell. On the GSister blog I put Crowley. Oh well, he made it and that is all that matters.
Gripey is up so I guess I will go. He thinks when I type on the blog I am not paying much attention to him. All have a safe day and stay warm. Love you guys Eletia. Oh and how is Brice doing, was so sorry to hear about his accident.

Friday, January 19, 2007

Wow, CTown ya'll are getting one hell of a snow storm according to the weather??
Are you in a winter wonderland. Blair

Thursday, January 18, 2007

I want to double with Kittie, I'm thinkin and prayin for Brice. Susan, let us know if there is anything any of us can do. Love you.

Maw, wow, Louis is 80. I didn't know he had Parkinson's. I'm glad ya'll got to talk and visit.

C-Town, I can't believe ya'll might get a foot of snow. Hey Kittie, if ya'll get snow get a picture of Boston building a snow man or something and send my way for the webpage. Anybody else too do the same. Everybody let me know how your doing. Please stay warm and be careful. It has been CRAZY here this week with our weather. I've started this new job and it's going good. Today's commute was okay, but yesterday morning was something else. I drove 25 mph on I30 from home in Arlington all the way to downtown Ft. Worth. I've decided to make my work day 7:30-4:30 so you can only imagine what time I got up. WHOOOH! That's okay, I did a lot of praying, cussing, and white knuckles all the way and made it. Hehe. Lots of crazy drivers. Love all, Blair
Hey,

Just wanted to throw out some prayers for Brice....Even though the surgery is over he will probably have quite a time with recovery...He is in our daily prayers...As is the family caring for him...
We are preparing for the snow this weekend....Boston is REALLY EXCITED!!
Hope everyone else in the family is doing good...
love to all,
kittie
Thanks Blair for your address. Please don't look for "Big Bucks" but just want you to know I love you and think of your BD. I can remember sitting in the waiting room watching those pink and blue lights, just waiting for one or the other to light up to let us know you were here and if you were a boy or girl. When that blue light came on and I knew you were here it was just one of the greatest feelings in the world, my first little grandbaby! Didn't get to be there when Jared and April were born because someone had to stay home and take care of you and then you and Jared. All my grandchildren hold special memories for me of when they were born. Surprise, I had a phone call last night from my brother Louis Brinlee in OK. They have been iced in since last weekend. He was very nice, just wanted to talk and ask that we stay in touch. The last time I talked to him was when Artie died, I called to let him know. Louis has Parkinson and he is getting close to 80 yrs old so his health is not good at all. Gald to hear about your job. It will smooth out in time, just hard to find your way around at something new but you can do it!!!!
Got to get to work, everyone have a great day. Snow is coming tomorrow, maybe 12". Maw

Wednesday, January 17, 2007

Hey Maw and Everybody,
Susan, I'm really sorry to hear about Brice. I hope he gets better quick. I hate to hear that he fell. Makes me really sad. I'm glad his heart is okay though.

I'm glad Gary Dale's heart results came back good and will think good thoughts about his lung tests. Keep me posted.

Well, I will give you my address, it is 1228 E. Lamar Blvd., #1006, Arlington, TX 76011. But, you just thinkin' about me makes me really happy.

Well, got through my 2nd day at work. It is really cool, interesting, intimidating and empowering to work for a big city entity. My office is pretty good size, but no window. Oh, well, my last job, I had a pretty view, but my office was cracker box. Kind of like Tit for Tat. So far, I'm liking it though. Very humbling experience so far.
Love you all, Blair
We are getting ready for round 2 of the winter weather, suppose to snow Friday and Sat.Brice Allen fell and broke his right hip. He had surgery today, starting about 11:00 and came thru it okay according to the report I got. His heart (even tho it is bad) hung in there and never missed a beat. They pinned his hip and not a hip replacement.
Gary Dale has had more testing with good results and now will be going to a lung doctor.Someone has a birthday coming up but I do not have an address to mail a BD card, if someone can help me out here??Maw

Tuesday, January 16, 2007

Kittie, thanks for the card and picture of Boston. Love, Blair

Monday, January 15, 2007

Hey Kittie, sure thing. Come on down. I can give you some class lessons and studies and then you can start teaching them too. You got that Gowens athleticism too. Seriously, would love for ya'll to come down if you get the chance. Maybe when it's warmer, we can do Six Flags or something.. Hope everyone is staying warm, wow January is really showing her stuff the last few days. Love, Bear
Hey Blair,

I certainly could use some lessons on living a less stressful and healthier life!!! Maybe I should come to some of your classes!!!
Well it is cold and "frosty" here...Hope everyone is someplace warm!
Have a great week....
Love to all,
Kittie

Sunday, January 14, 2007

HI Maw and C-Town bunch, well it is still cold and wet today. We have been lucky up to this point because it hasn't gotten icy yet, but could at any minute. We're on the edge of rain and ice. Glad Boston got to come over to ya'lls house. I could see him being a veternarian some day as much as he loves animals and knows all about them. I can still remember when he was about 3 and could already give lessons on different snakes. Pretty cool!!! Ryan does have a lot of little creatures now too. Have to admit his little "American Cobra" intimidates me. Hehe. I can't wait to see Tolby Britches quilt. I know it will be awesome. Everything you make Maw is awesome.
My new job is to try to help people live "healthier and less stressful" lives. That will be fun. I will be educating the City employees, retirees and their families about health and wellness. I'll be teaching classes, giving group and one on one instruction & counseling, and go on TV Cable City shows, along with health fairs, etc. I'm really pumped. This is what my college degree was in so that makes it even better. Well that is what I will be doing in a nutshell. Love, Bear

BRRRRRRRRRR

We are froze up in C Town!Ice on everything and not to warm up today. Sure hope the ice does not present power line problems. I think we may have some paper logs left over from when we burned them in the fireplace. We may be digging them out to stay warm. I even put Buddy in my bathroom so you all know it is cold. I am spending the weekend working on Tolby Britches quilt. Good weather for it, can't do anything else. Well I could but not as much fun. Blair,I will be thinking of you this week on your new job. I'm sure it will go great, you are so talented and smart (like your G-mother) Ha. Seriously go in and make a big impression. I'm not sure what your job duties will be, you might enlighten us but I know you will do well. The CASA in Lubbock has something in the news everyday trying to train volunteers. I'm sure it is a job that one could get burned out on easily and you have been with it a long time. Hopefully your new City job will not be so stressful.Caden, I wish I had some of those pancakes Nana made for you, Umm. Boston stayed with us Friday night while Big Mama & Pappy went to the ballgame. He opted to stay and play on my computer. He is sad about his cat, will take time. Ryan let him walk around with one of the iguanas on his shoulder so that was fun for him. Ryan now has two of them in addition to the snake and various small lizards. His room looks like Walter's World of pets. I will have to go to work tomorrow. Good thing it is close. I don't know how you guys in Ft Worth drive on the freeways in dry weather much less ice. Hoping you are all in for the weekend, including you Mike. You work much too hard, too many hours but I know how dedicated you are.Better get back to work on the quilt, love you one and all. Maw

Saturday, January 13, 2007

Wow, it is cold here in the Metroplex and wet and beginning to ice over. Good thing it's the weekend and don't have to get out in it. Love, Blair

Friday, January 12, 2007

Boston says "Thanks" for your prayers and kind words...."Ki-Ki" was a really good cat and she slept with Boston everynight....He is really going to miss her....Pappy buried her in our backyard and fixed her a little white cross with her name on it....I hope this is not the start of a "pet cemetary"....Wasn't that a scary movie?!?!? Anyway the lady that hit Ki-Ki brought Boston some flowers yesterday and we had a little ceremony and put the flowers on her grave....Man, oh, man...the things you do for kids and animals!!! Well I hope everyone has a good weekend...
love to all,
kittie

Thursday, January 11, 2007

Boston, I was so sorry to hear about your cat. I bet you will never forget it, because it is probably the very first one that you had and had grown to love. I know that you will be able to find another kitten to love, because YOU are so easy to love and there are so many kittens that need a special home and a special person like you to love them. I will remember you in my prayers and thoughts. Again, I am so sorry and we love you bunches. Eletia
Hey Kittie,
Those cars are cool huh. I want one too. Too cool.

I'm sorry to hear about Boston's cat. I know he loves animals and he will be really sad. I will say a prayer for him. That is sad.
Love,
Blair
Hey Blair,

Just wanted to tell you that Gary LOVED the new 2008 mustang....Said he might have to have one "someday"....
Hope everyone is doing well....We are just trying to get a jump start on this new year....We did have some bad news this morning....Boston's cat was hit by a car last night...I haven't told him yet, didn't want him to be upset at school all day today....So guess we will be having a burial this afternoon...Everyone say a little prayer for Boston...He loved that cat!!!
Love to all,
Kittie

Happy Birthday to Jill today!!! Love you, Blair

Monday, January 8, 2007

Good morning everyone. Monday morning here again so soon. Up at 5:00, get ready and out the door. Kathryn, from what I have been told, the name of our new baby will be Toby Blake, but they are not for sure yet. As Blair said, Caden named him Tolby Britches and that has just kind of stuck with us. Hope everyone had a good weekend and a better week. Love you guys. Eletia.

Sunday, January 7, 2007

Hey Kittie, glad you were able to blog. Alright!! I'm excited. I agree it would be great if we could all try to get together in the near future. Maw, I don't think anybody is for sure if it will be Tolby or Toby. The way Caden pronounces it is "Tolby Britches". teehhee, isn't that cute. Love, Blair

Saturday, January 6, 2007

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I need to clear up the spelling of the new little McGaughy on the way. Is it Tolby or Toby. I have seen both used on the blog??And did I see Blake used with it??Fill me in McGaughy family ??Maw

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MIKE & ELETIA

HAPPY HAPPY TO YOU, THE COUPLE OF THE DAY. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU! AT LEAST MIKE IS NOT OUT TRYING TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS ON HIS CAR ON THE WEDDING DAY, WITH WIRES AND ETC ALL OVER THE GROUND. WOW. GOT HER DONE, DIDN'T YOU. LOVE YOU BOTH.
Blair's question, I don't ever really think of famous people and if I could I would love to spent one more day with Artie and buy her another banana blizzard and have her enjoy drinking it. She was the most awesome lady I ever knew. Love Maw
Ok, that question's easy... Tony Romo hands down!!! You could call it a small (ok, huge) crush, haha. I would reiterate to him to keep his mind on football and OFF of Jessica Simpson and Carrie Underwood!!!Always,Maggie

Where are you C-Town? Why no blogs? I will pose the question to you? If you could spend the day with someone who would it be and why? Blair
