Just wanted to tell Mike, Eletia, Zac, April, Caden and Toby that I am thinking and praying for ya'll.....WOW, what a scare!! Kind of "de javoo" huh, Eletia?!?!? I know that you all were just scared to death, I would have been too!! I can't even imagine what it was like seeing little "smiling" Toby that way. But thank GOD, he is okay now....Man, when something happens to one of our little ones, it really does shake everyone up....
Just wanted ya'll to know that I love you and I am glad everyone is okay now....

Hey All,
Just talked to Kittie this morning and she told me about Toby. I am so sorry the little guy had to be so sick and hope all is better by now. Eleita, I know you and April were scared to death. Just want ya'll to know you are in my prayers this morning. Florida is beautiful and all is going well. I shipped a computer here before I came and with Kittie routing all my work I am able to keep it going. Judy and I will be home for Easter on the Thursday before so we are missing everyone and looking forward to seeing everyone.
Again, guys, please know you are in our thoughts and prayers this morning and I'll be checking in to see how Toby is.

2-26-06. Kittie it was good to hear from you. Glad all is well in Ctown. It sounds like you do keep the road well traveled. It is amazing just how busy our lives still are. I thought after you got older life slowed down, but when you have such sweet grandbabies and are active in their lives, I guess it just happens. What a way to be.
Looking forward to the seeing all you guys and the shower. It will be good to see you all again. I know Maggie is ready for all to be over and done with and well. She will do great and have a healthy baby girl no matter who delivers her.

Hey,
I hope everyone is well. I've been busy, busy and have not had time to write. Boston is playing basketball and has two games per week, Monday's and Thursday's and then I go and pick him up on Tuesday's and Wednesday's, so I basically am running to Lubbock everyday, so when I am home, I have ALOT of typing to do!!! But this is Maggie's last week at work, so I will be able to cut down on a few trips, starting next week; although, I am already sad about not picking Boston up on Tues and Wedn because that is "our" time together, but I bet I can figure out a way to get "our" time in somewhere...lol....And of course once Madelynne is here, I will be making several trips per week to see her too!! I can just basically put my car on "auto pilot" between here and Lubbock!! Maggie found out last week that her doctor will be gone to Pakistan during the week that baby is due. So one of the other doctors in the office will probably be delivering Miss Madelynne. She was sort of let down about it, but she said, "At least I am not one of those "prima-donna" women that would be totally freaking out right now about it." She will just have to go with whoever will be available...What else can a delivering mother do??? She will at least get to meet the other doctors before delivery at her next appointments, which starting this week will be every week until time...
Betsy and Shavonne, I enjoy reading your blogs and seeing the new pictures of Kate and Brock...If anyone is ever having a bad day, all they have to do is look at the baby pictures. They will make anyone smile!!!

Hey Maw....Glad Ryan is feeling better. Man I tell you this sick stuff has got a lot of us this season. I hope we all get over this soon. It's just nasty stuff.

I am so lucky to have 2 handsome, awesome nephews and 1 beautiful, awesome niece. I love it!! Uncle Blair is the luckiest guy in the world. I've stayed away from the kiddos this last week cause I've been sick. But just wait, Uncle Blair will be back.

Bear, I love the "new" site. I knew you would get inspired to do something. Ha. Had the day off today so I was able to finish up Maddie's baby quilt. It is always a great feeling to get one finished and ahead of schedule.Ryan is feeling better, just a little weak but is eating and etc OK.
At church yesterday, they did not have the fellowship song because they did not want us all to shake hands and hug (fear of spreading the flu more) Hopefully it had about run the course. Hard to tell. There were not many folks at church yesterday. I sat with Boston, Kittie and Gary Dale. Enjoyed Betsy's Blog with all the things about Kate and pics. Also, Brock's new puppy. He looked a little sad but then understandable if he had just been "fixed" that day. We missed all the snow and ice but we did have a water main break so we have had to boil our water all weekend or use bottled water. Hopefully all will be back to normal tomorrow. Don't have any news so catch ya'll later. Love Maw

Hey everyone!!! Hope you all are having a nice weekend, ours has been wet and cold.
Good luck to Jared on your physical test, can't wait to hear more about it! Also, to the two of you-Happy (late) Anniversary!!! Wow, 5 years! James and I will be celebrating ours in July, we can't believe where the time has gone but wouldn't change it for anything.
James still hasn't heard anything from the DPS but Michael Mickley's wife told Susan that it took then about 3 weeks+ to hear back when Michael was trying to get on. . .just keep those thoughts and prayers for strength and understanding. Neither of us want to rush into anything because we know that God has special plans for our career paths but until our opportunity comes up, we need to stay strong and positive. Brock is doing well, I'm not sure if anyone has visited his website but James got us a puppy for Valentine's Day!!! He is just the sweetest little puppy, and he and Brock are doing very well together.
Glad Ryan is doing better. This year has been horrible, we've been sending children home left and right from school, and the teachers have been out as well. We have been doing pretty good the past few weeks (knock on wood) so hopefully we're clear after our last "episode."
When the get-together is planned please let us know. We'll check our calendar and checkbook to see if we can make it! We sure would LOVE to be there!!! We still haven't been to April and Zac's new house, Blair and Jay's new house, and of course I'm DYING to meet Kate! I can't wait to get her in my arms and smell her sweet head! There's nothing better than the smell of a baby behind their ear. . .it's weird but I LOVE it on all baby's. I still kiss Brock behind his ears!!!

Hello Ctown! Shavonne you are the sweetest woman. Betsy and I just love talking with you and also the comments you write! James is blessed with a great wife and handsome son. Kate and Bets are sleeping right now and I am getting prepared to leave to take another police phyical agility test.......Kate is already started to sleep longer and is a ver content little girl! Happy Valentine's Day
Hey All,
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day and say welcome to missy Kate. She is amazing. I have checked out the pics. I figured Blair would have something up before she had a chance to dry haha. Bear, you are so good to do all you do. Brock looks so cute with his new puppy. Hope everyone is feeling better. Sorry to hear Ryan was in the hospital, Kack, and hope he is feeling better now. There were a couple of nasty little bugs going around. Think maybe Gary Lee is on the mend finally but talked to Susan this morning and she is losing her voice...so hope she is not the next one. Florida is beautiful today. Did have storms and tornado warnings a couple of nights ago but it is really nice now. I am staying on top of work better here than I do in Crosbyton...no distractions. Kittie, thanks for routing my work and taking care of the babies. And Susan thanks for "taking care of business". Judy and I are looking forward to heading to the beach for a few days when she gets off work today. I heard there was a possibility of snow in CTown tomorrow so I'll be thinking about ya'll :) Again, Kate is amazing and Jared and Betsy, I know ya'll are just so proud. Eletia....another one to spoil...YEAH!! Everyone get well and stay well. I miss everyone.

Hello Ctown! Betsy and Kate are doing very well. I am so proud of Betsy and how easy she made it look and be! Kate has some jaundice but is doing great. Welcome Kate
Wow! We are so excited about Baby Kate's Arrival. The pictures are great and we are so proud to have a new little Gowens girl. All is well on the Gowens home front. Gary was really sick From Friday the 1st till he finally decided he was going to live and went to work ( still with fever) Wednesday the 6th. He had to miss Stormy's party. He still doesn't have any appetite. Brandon had also been sick, but is better now. I finally got my cast off and was surprised at the looks of my arm. I am slowly get some strengh back and will do therapy for six weeks. We are still waiting on pins and needles about James Lee. We just have to keep hoping everything is going well and he will hear in a few days. Take care of the new little one , can't wait to get some sweet kisses of my own from her. Love to everyone, Susan

Thank you Blair for the beautiful pics. Kate is just perfect and so beautiful, just as I pictures she would be. Be glad when she "opens" her eyes and we can see her that way also. I have been out of touch some because Ryan has been sick since Thur. The flu is going around everywhere. Took him to ER Friday afternoon.They gave him a shot and sent us home with Z-Pack and Mucinex but Friday night I was up with him all n ight. He kept running high fever, throwing up if he tried to eat or drink so I took him back to ER yesterday afternoon and the doctor saw us come in and told the ER nurse to go ahead and put him in a room so we didn't have to wait to go thru the EDR thing again which is running at least 3 hrs right now. People everywhere trying to see a doctor. SO, he is in the hospital now and his temp is still spiking up to 103. He is on IV, NPO, just ice chips. I just ran up there to check on him and he wanted to try to sleep a little longer so I came back home to wash bed sheets and etc. Mariana told me she is leaving here and I sure hate that. Don't know what she is going to do?? This is all I know for now just wanted to say, WELCOME to Kate and hope Toby and everyone else that is sick is getting better. It has been bad up here. They closed the school at Spur last week, so many kids out.

Sorry i haven't written sooner...busy, busy, busy....
Hamersley's are all well and good as far as I know....Maggie went to the doctor today and will now start going once per week until baby time!! Boston just finished one basketball league and is now starting another one. Megan has started a new job as a secretary and loves it...I guess anything would beat fitting shoes on "little old ladies" feet!!! Kraig is busy, busy....never a dull moment on the police department...the stories he tells me are really scary!!! I worry about him daily!! I hope everyone is doing well.....Eletia, let me how the class is tonight....Caden, I MISS YOU!!! call me.....lol....I hope that Toby will outgrow his respiratory problems....sick babies are no fun for them or momma.....

Hey gang! Not much new here. Betsy and I are just waiting for Kate to get here! We are very excited and cant wait to see her little face! I am taking the physical exam for the city of Fort worth police on Feb. 16th. My knee is doing very well after my scope and I should be close to 100% by the exam. Maw, thank you very much for your kind words and thoughts. We may not be there with you, but we think about you daily! We love you very very much. I do not know how much you miss JW, but we love you and pray that you will find peace. JW has found peace and would want you to enjoy the same, as well as, Papa Dalmer! Hello to all! It's been a while since James or myself has blogged, in all honesty nothing is going on around here.
James is still patiently waiting to hear something, anything back from the DPS. They never gave him a time frame so we just wait, in all of this the two of us are learning that we aren't very patient people. That is what we've been praying for the most, a career lead would be great appreciated but more than anything we need prayers of strength and understanding. We know that many of you have been praying and for that we are so greatful, it keeps us going!
Stormy's 4th birthday party was WONDERFUL!!! I still can't believe that Jill was so calm about the whole thing, I was a mess! This is my Little Stormy Lou Who, we were there the day she was born and her big birthday present was a bicycle. A real bicycle with training wheels. . .uhhh, all my babies growing up is killing me!
The three of us are doing well, health wise. We are, finally, getting back to ourselves. I've been trying to wash my hands and use sanitizer every chance I get because a horrible strand of strep is going around school right now, I sure don't want that nor do I want to bring it home to my boys.

Seems that no one is "Blogging" anymore so guess I'll see if I can wake everyone up. Ha. Had a very quite weekend. I was in a pretty sad mood Sat so did not make it to Stormy's BD party. (not in a party mood these days) Sorry Stormy but I'm sure you had a great party. You are such a beautiful little girl and a huge family that loves you very much. Went to church Sunday morning and sat with the Hamersley's, Jackie, Linnie, Montana, Megan, Maggie, Kraig, Kittie, Gary Dale and Boston. Boston had his baptism and he looked so small up there but so sweet. Maggie is looking more beautiful as little Maddie is growing. They are getting excited as Jared and Betsy have been. It will be soon now that I expect the phone to ring and hear of the arrival of Kate and I'm sure everyone in FT Worth is more than ready for that. Gary Dale took my van Friday and completely detailed it, inside and out. It looks so great. Don't remember when it was ever cleaned up that good. Thanks Gary, you are so good to me. I wanted Eletia and April to know that he also came and replaced the kitchen faucet so now I have "fast" running water again. I know ya'll struggled with it when you were here. Guess I better get back to work (I'm at the office) Work is all that keeps me going now days. Keeps me busy so I don't have time to dwell on my losses.I miss J W so very very much and still can't hardly believe that he is gone. Everyone in town and at church have been so very good to me, to call and check on me and make sure I am okay. To Jared and Betsy, I just know everything will go great for you to get Kate here and the first thrill of holding your little baby for the first time is unlike anything you will ever feel again. To look in her little face and try to etch it into a memory in your mind forever and just the love you will feel at once in your heart and be in complete awe that God has actually sent you this wonderful gift. Just hold her and love her and everything else will fall into place.
