Hey Everybody......Yeah our trip was fun to the Casino. We all have to go sometime...Yeah Dad will have to put the the quilt under lock and key!!!! Hehehehehe. Yeah, my Dad (Mike) is trying to "Quilt Block" me.....Okay only makes sense, that I have the bi-centenial baby quilt, and now I should have the Texas Tech quilt with my graduation date. Okay, okay, I will even embarass myself and lay out naked like Papa Dalmer did with all us grandkids at 4th of July. Hehehehe, just kiddin'....

I saw some pics that April took and I will get them on here promise. Hey Kittie, I loved it last night we were over at Mom and Dad's and I was asking him about everybody. He said he saw his "Aunt Kittie Big Mommy"....... I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad that Mike and Kittie got to spend some time together this weekend. I know ya'll wished Gary Lee could've been there.

Proud of Mike (Dad) he is doing really well in the Undertaker Business......I have to tell you he is really really good at that. He has found his calling.....Proud of you Dad.!!!!!!!

Aunt Peg, get to feelin' better. I agree with Kittie, take care of yourself and take it slow. Maw said you were feelin' real bad. Better take it slow, ya' hear!!

I'm glad too that Stormy got out of that daycare situation. Susan, I know you hurt seein' her hurt. I bet Jill and you were ready to kick some ASSSSSSSSSSSSS......No worries the whole Gowens clan would be behind you.....Love you all..and glad she's okay....

Mike, Gary and Kittie.......Maw is needing some education on CHO PO LO...So who will pipe in on this one???? Maw asked me a while back....

Well, I start teaching some more of my classes this week. It should be fun......Not much else.......
Well hope you have a good week...
Love,
Bear
Hey Mike,
I heard you might have to put the quilt under lock and key!!!! hahaha....I guess when you get ready to pass it down someday you can cut it in half?!?!?!? JUST KIDDING MA!!!

Well, I think Gary FINALLY got the sewer line working...so next time you can actually pee in the house....hahahaha.....
Talk to you soon....
love to all,
kittie
Hey Blair, I am glad that you and Jay got to get away for the weekend and have some fun.

Mike, Eletia, April, CADEN and TOBY it was so good to see all of you and get to spend some QUALITY time together. Eletia, I hope you were not too worn out after the trip, you need to get some rest this week and take care of yourself. April, the "boys" are so precious, you did good...Tell Zac we missed him, hope he can come next time....

Ma, Thanks for all you do!!!

Prayers go out to Peggy as she is really sick with a "head, chest and cold" thing!! Peg, you need to slow down and take it easy this week....Hope you are better soon!!

Ok, got to get some work done...Hope everyone else is doing good...I was glad to hear that Stormy will not have to face the "battle zone" any longer...I am sure she will be happier at home....
love to all,
kittie

Hey Susan.....Good to see you on here.....Hope everyone in CTown gets to see Caden and Toby this weekend. I'm really glad Mom and Dad got to make it down there. Jay and I went with Jay's dad and brother today to Winstar Casino right across the Oklahoma border. It was fun.. I only lost $30 dollars. Jay lost a little more...Hehehe, but hey we didn't lose everything we went with. Winstar casino is really pretty big.....What was so funny is there was all kinds of people there, and boy there was so old old smokers there on life support, but boy they could still play those machines.....Anyway, it was fun...Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Eletia, glad you are recovering. We had a great weekend. James, Shavonne, and Brock decided to come home Saturday, so we had a party with all the gang Saturday night. Wish all the Ft Worth bunch could have been here. Brock is growing so fast it is hard not seeing him daily. Stormy is recovering from her daycare experience, she had a bad scape on her back on Tuesday, then a busted lip on Wednesday, and a bad bite on the butt on Thursday. Needless to say she had changed daycare. It is hard to see your grandchild with so many hurts. Gary is going to San Antonio for this annual golf get a way. He leaves Thursday and will return Sunday. Thanks for all the concerns and prayers for both of my parents. We see improvement everyday and they are staying alone now during the day and night. Love to all of you, Susan

Maw thanks for the pics of Papa Dalmer. Sorry so you are feeling a little crabby. Doctors orders to ya are "Get Well"......Enjoyed dinner and time with Fort Worth bunch this weekend. Eletia (mom) is a little sore, but doing well.. Caden is really growing and turning into a little boy. He does so well playing sports. Although I think his mom and dad are going to get him into tball. Toby is just changing seems like every time I see him. He was dressed in a cute Texas Tech suit yesterday. Made this Uncle proud, eh!!! Well, love ya' Bear
Hey family
We had a very quite weekend. I seem to have developed a head cold or allergies. Sure hope Eletia is doing okay. I was going to call but my voice is not coming thru very good right now. Maybe tonight. We had more storms Sat night, North of here. Went to church yesterday morning. Children's choir sang and played handbells. Not much going on here in C town. I'll check back later. Maw

Glad to hear that everything went as planned for Eletia's surgery. Hope her recovery goes well, we've been praying for her.
Way to go Jared and Betsy on the run, I sure do miss track at this time of year.
We've had very warm weather here this week, too much wind to get out in the sun though. James and I were going to try to set up our pool but we'll just have to see about the wind. We're excited to get Brock in it!!! He loves the water so we think it'll be fun to get him in the pool! For Easter his Popa (my dad- Chris) bought him an adorable wet suit and a floppy camo hat from Old Navy for the pool, and we got him a shaded baby floaty!
We finally got a really good picture of his teeth and it's posted on his website! They are the cutest teeth you've ever seen, I swear you'd think James and I have never seen any teeth with the way we've reacted to Brock's. Being parents has helped us appreciate the "smallest" things in life, we realize that life in general is such a blessing and family makes it even better!!!
Hope everyone has had a great work week, and enjoys their weekend!!!
Much love sent to ya'll
James, Shavonne, and The Brockman

Hey Everybody. It's about 10:30 p.m. Just got back home with making sure Eletia (mom) made it home from her surgery today. They kept moving her surgery time around, but she finally got in about 4:30 p.m. She was out of recovery at about 7:15 p.m. Now she is at home and resting. We are taking good care of her. Got her to bed and a little a broth and water. They were able to do laproscopic surgery. Her gallbladder was removed and she will be doing well in no time. She is a little sore, but doing okay. She wants to thank everybody for thinking about her. Love everybody, Blair

Hey family
Hope things are going okay with everyone this week. I am thinking of Eletia and Mike for tomorrow. Hope everything goes easy for Eletia and she will come back home a new and well woman. Stormy we enjoyed your blog and hope you are having fun with Brock. You are such a little mommy, I'm sure it is fun for you. Looks like we might have a nice weather day today, for a change. Things seem pretty quite around here this week so that is good. Jared & Betsy, loved your pic on the web. Jared does buzzing your hair off make you run faster ??Just wondered. Do any of you remember the scary stories Dalmer use to tell you when driving through the North canyon??Was it something about a wild man??

Hey everyone, we're baaaaaccccckkkkk!!! And this time Brock and I have Stormy with us! James and I met Jill and Brandon in Sweetwater on Saturday to get Stormy. Then the four of us headed to Abilene to visit the zoo. Well, it was WAY to cold from the cold wind so instead of the zoo we went to the mall and Chuck E. Cheese's!!! It was too much fun!

Brock is an official member of the TOOTH club!!! He cut his first tooth Friday afternoon and woke up with his second one Sunday morning! Yep, two teeth is a matter of 3 days!!! This kid goes all out when he does something!
Really that's about all going on in our neck of the woods. Glad that everyone is OK from all the harsh weather. And can I just say all I could do is laugh at the pics of Peggy and Donna Beth, it made me miss my sister! Oh, Stormy wants to blog. . .

Hey Family,
Wow, those storms for the Ft Worth bunch, that is too close!!Eletia I could feel your fear when the phone went dead just as Jay said, ITS HERE! Praise the Lord all of you are okay. I'm sure the hail storm was awful too. Eletia, sorry about your job. Maybe that will enough time to find something else. I don't understand either why big companies are farming all of the labor force out to other countries. Either the labor is so much cheaper or it is another way to control the U.S. I am afraid we are just going along in a fog and allowing "them" to take us over. Look at the gas prices?? It has been a quite day here in C-Town. I went to the post office this morning and have not been out any more. It was another cold day and felt good to stay in. Saw Gary Lee at the P O and got a "hairy" kiss. Ha. Don't have much to said, just glad everyone is okay.
Later
Maw
Good Morning to all you guys. Well, we survived the great stroms. The tornados bounced around us all over yesterday. April, Zac, Caden, Toby and I had gone to eat dinner in NRH and Jared called and told us that there was a tornado on 820 and 30 coming our way, and then Blair called to tell us and while we were talking one came close to Blair and Jay and I heard Jay tell Blair "its here" and the phones went dead. While we were in the restaurant there was baseball sized hail and we couldnt leave until that went past. As we drove home we met firetrucks everywhere. Fortunately our house and cars were not damaged here, but just two miles West where Cadens day care is that park was hit pretty hard. It is hard to tell whether a tornado did the damage or high wind. Then the storm traveled right down 30 and Mike was having a late night service and had to get about 250 people in a hall way at the funeral home. He had to run out in the hail to get the funeral coach out of the hail. He said he knew if the hail didnt kill him his boss would. I will be glad when the weather kind of smooths out for us all.
I was told Thursday that my job was affected by the Citi restructuring. My job will be going to India. I have supposedly a year to find another job or transfer somewhere else within the company. They have a pretty good severance package for us, but it sure will be hard to do. I guess all financing companies in the US are having some major difficulties right now, but why do they think India will save them money? It will be interesting to see how the Indians do appraisals for the US. OH well, such is life. My surgery is Thursday and I have stayed on the diet that the surgeon wanted me to, so I have lost several pounds. It is hard to just drink a protein shake every day. Hopefully since I have been good though he can just do a laproscopic sugery. If not, again OH Well, such is life and I will make it. Everyone appears to be doing well and hope to see all you guys soon. Eletia

Hey Family,

Just logged on here in San Antonio to show DB and Gene the good stuff you are doing with the site Blair. We had a great day today. Made three quilt shops today on the shop hop and have four more tomorrow. We were like kids in a candy store...so much fabric so little time...is the way the saying goes. haha. We have to get all rested up now for tomorrow. We will have a fabric hangover by the time we get through. We are having a good time. It is stormy and rainy here tonight but nothing like you guys had in Ft. Worth. Hope it is all quiet now. Okay.... we are officially "nuts" here....wayyyyy too fun. DB is showing me how to "make music" with her underarms...she says a little lower than that. Oh my gosh!! She says she will teach me how!! When I try, it just looks like the chicken dance but I make no sound like she does. I think we need to go to bed now! Thanks Kittie, and Jill and Stormy for holding down the fort and taking care of my girls. Be home Sunday.
Love,
Peg
Hey all, any pics will be fine. Maybe some old time pics from yesterdays. I'm not mad just being assertive, hehehehe.

Wow, me and Jay just had big scare. These bad storms came rollin' through just a little while ago and tornado was right by the apartment. All I knew to do was get in the bathtub and say the Lord's prayer. We got through it. Thank you God....

Love everybody!!! I'm not mad just want pics. But the thrashings will continue if needed, hehehe.
Hey Family
Here we are TGIF once again. I don't know where the time goes anymore. Our weather has been so crazy. It is cold here again and raining. 2 days ago we had sandstorm and last weekend, snow, Name it, we may have it. Ryan is gone to Paris with the Boyd's to see sissy. We have been really slow at the office this week. Guess people are too tired to get out after Easter. Had the closing on Artie's house yesterday at 4:00. That went okay. Will be good to see it come back to life again. Everything won't be settled until Monday when Peggy gets back with Donna Beth's part of the papers (signed) but it is offically the McNeely's house now. Eletia are you doing okay with your surgery date coming up? You said you were really weak??Do you know yet what time of day the surgery will be and I guess it is still on for the 19th?? J.W. said to tell you he is praying for you everyday that things will go really good for you, as we all are.
April & Zac, I bet that little Toby is really growing. Maybe all of his "tags" have fallen off by now. Is Caden still the little mother hen. That is just so cute him telling everyone how to hold Toby and etc. They will be so much company to each other. We slept with Mike when he was a baby and then when Gary Lee got big enough to get him out of a crib, we were able to put them in a bed together and that was really great. Mike just could not sleep without having someone to touch. That is why he has a king size bed, right Mike?? How is Zac's new job going? Wondered about Betsy having a new job and how it was? Guess James & Shavonne have got Brock back on his sleep schedule by now. Kittie said Boston wore shorts to school this morning and it is about 40 degrees and raining. Bet he has had a cold day at school.Peggy and Donna have gone on a quilt tour today around San Antonio, Austin and that area. Hope they have fun. I'll try to get some more pics on for you and family Blair. Love Maw
Ok Blair, what kind of pictures do you want? I will go through our camera and see what we have if you'll tell me what you want!!! Alot of our pictures are already posted on Brock's webpage but I'd be happy to supply you with more pictures if it'll make you happy. . .If Blair ain't happy, ain't nobody happy (oh, wait I think it should be Momma but it's all the same)!!! Love you Blair!!!

Hope everyone has had a great week and has a good weekend! Brock is down for his afternoon nap so I need to take advantage of it and get my stinky butt in the shower!!! ha ha

Much love sent to you all,
James, Shavonne, and Brock
Hey Family,

Been kind of busy this week with transcription and plus with Peggy gone I am at the store all day...so I have do to my transcription early in the morning and at night....but that is ok...I am so glad she is getting to spend some time with Donna Beth...
Boston is through with basketball... his team won the championship....now he is starting baseball...we just go from one sport to the next....He certainly keeps me busy!!

Hey, where are the pics....Keep being told, and every blue moon, I get some, but doesn't happen often. I really appreciate all the thanks, but I would rather I get a lot of pics and sharing of each other than that. Doesn't happen though. Only reason I do this is because I want us all to be connected in a day of not being able to live across the street, but even if we do, be able to be connected. Bear

I back Kittie on Stormy's pics. They are precious. I want more, I want more. Hehehe. Hey Jill Bo and Brandon where are ya??? Need to hear from you.

Okay from the bloggin on here that backs my theory even more on doing a get together not around a holiday. Why, because whenever we all get together it will be a holiday because that's what it is all about. Maw thanks so much for the pics you sent.....

James and Shavonne, you are doing a great job with Brock's pics. You make my job easy, hehehe. Can't wait to see ya'll again. Maw sent some really cool pics of some quilts. James you were so little in that pic. The pic cut Jill's head off, dog gon it. So, now I need a pic of everybody when they were little. Okay, next assignment.

Kittie is going to help me out with getting some more pics of everybody too. Thank you Kittie.

Aunt Peg, I know you got some great pics too this weekend. Can't wait to get those. Please tell Donna Beth hi for me.

I'm really glad that Artie's house was sold. There are so many memories there, but all of them live in our heart and she would be thrilled to know that someone bought her house to live in to continue on.... To Artie......

Maw, I will be thinkin' about Ryan this weekend as he goes to see his sister....I know that is a really rough time for him now. Love him and he knows that. Speakin' of the devil, Ryan where are ya'???

Maggie and Megan, where are ya'??????? Maggie, know you and Kraig got to come through this past weekend. My parents, April and Zac were so glad to see ya'..

Hey Boston, how's school going?? How's the basketball going?? Are you still playing??? You got any action pics for your webpage????

Hey Susan and Gary, where are ya'??? Susan has blogged, but Gary Lee where are ya'????

Gary Dale, where are ya'?????

Dad, where are ya??????

April and Zac where are ya????? ARE YOU FINGERS BROKE???

Bear
Hey Family!!
Just a quick note....If you have not checked out Stormy's page yet ...DO IT NOW!!!
I just have to say her pictures are GORGEOUS!!! Of course it would be impossible for her to make a bad pic.....I am having a hard time trying to decide which ones I want to order!!!
Love you "little girl"
aunt kittie
Hey everyone! Sounds like we all had a blessed Easter! Brock hit the jackpot. . .I'm kind of like Boston. How did a bunny become involved in this holiday?!?

Blair, James and I were talking about getting his picture taken with his quilt, and well it's in Crosbyton. Maybe next time we're there. . .just don't hold us accountable, who knows when we'll be back! It's so hard with Brock, he never sleeps good while we're there. It makes it hard on all of us. Besides, there's so many to see and very little time to do it.

Speaking of time, Maw sorry we disappointed you. We thought you were going to be at Peggy's to celebrate Easter with all of us. We'll definately get by there the next time we're in town! Also, thank you for the blue bunny for Brock! He likes he hopping sound it makes!!!

We hope everyone is doing well. We've got nice weather here! Yesterday it got up in the upper 80s but today it's cooler and more pleasant. . .but I'm a sucker for the cooler weather. To be perfectly honest, I loved the snow we got for Easter. I didn't have the right clothes for it, but none the less I REALLY enjoyed it!!!
Much love sent to you all,
James, Shavonne, and The Brockster
Hey family
Yea, we are having a good weather day for a change, at least for this morning. No rain or snow or blowing sand. I want to respond to Jared regarding a pic of his "butt". I have Visa, if that will help. If there was a pic, I never saw it. Peggy came by yesterday and said the McNeely's are closing on Artie's house Thursday. She is leaving that day to go to Donna Beth's so maybe it will all get finished up next week. Donna Beth will need to sign her part of the papers. Anyway, I am feeling somewhat sad about that it will never be Artie's house again, not being able to go by and go in anymore but it is more than time to do it. I really wish we had done it about 3 years ago. Anyway, it is okay, it is good to get things settled. Guess everyone is about over the sugar diet for this past Sunday, all except Eletia. Guess it was rough on you, cooking and not being able to eat what you wanted to. I have been seeing that Medifast ads on TV for weight loss. Hope it helps to keep your strength up. We are thinking of you!!All in all we had a nice Easter, I didn't have to cook, ha. Sorry we did not get to see James, Shavonne and Brock. Kept thinking they would come by, maybe next time. April, we sure would love to see little Toby and big brother Caden. I know you are enjoying your leave from work to be with the boys. Just don't over-do. Maybe we will get to see you soon. Ryan is planning on going with the Boyd's to Paris to see his sister this weekend. He thinks everytime might be the last but maybe not. God Bless you all,Love , Maw

Hey Maw, you are so worthy!!!! Love you bunches. I tell you if everyone would send me pics I would make their own website. You know the thing about selling a quilt takes all the meaning behind it. Read those poems on your site. That is the love you share with all of us.

Family...............Where are some of you?????? Do you need a lesson.... Especially some of you guys!!!!!!!!!! What, too macho!!! Okay, WHATEVA!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, it takes a big man to lay out on his baby quilt. Go ahead call me a baby!! I'll kick your ass.. Hehehehe. This Rainbow coalition will boost some high energy violet on ya'...... Okay don't make this a race thing...Oh wait I'm white too?? right?? Oh yeah....okay....

When are we all going to get together. And no, it can't be around the holiday. If you don't like my idea then I am sure there are several eggs left over either from Kittie's, mom's or Peggy's get together left to suck on. Man I am just killin' myself right now....James & Shavonne and Maggie and Kraig have made their way down here. Where are the rest of ya'?????

Miss everybody!!!! Give me so of your lovin' that only each of you can give!!!!!!

Facts state that an uptight ass causes for your head to get sucked up too. hehehe love, bear
Hey family
Blair, thank you so much for the feature on the family web site. I just wish I was worthy of the praise. Artie made me realize satisifaction in completing a quilt for someone you love. I could never make a quilt to sell. I hope to someday be able to give each of my children and grandchildren a quilt I have made. I believe I have the great-grandchildren covered already and my children so I need to come up with 7 for the grandkids. I got started on making these quilts out of Artie's dresses and maybe I will soon be finished with that. I have one more pieced to put together after I finish the one I am working on now. I don't have a lot of spare time after being at the office 8 hours a day but it something I enjoy doing. The food for the Ft Worth Sunday dinner looked wonderful. We all pretty much like the same things, simple home cooking. Anyway, Blair, thanks for thinking of me in a special way, I loved your pic on your baby quilt. I have pics of all you kids baby quilts that Artie made for you if you would like them let me know. If I knew how to scan and email them to you, I would. Hope Eletia is doing okay. Later, Maw

Monday, April 9, 2007

Hey all....I am ready for the weather to get warmer... How about it, heh??? I can't wait to get pics from C-Town end. Love, Bear
Hey All,

Sounds like everyone had a really special day. The Ft. Worth pics are great and Blair we'll get you some for the site from this end. Wasn't it wonderful to be able to be with family and enjoy all the blessings. There are so many people who don't have family and we have a bunch of us to be thankful for. For me, it is very important to keep the connection with the ones I love because I have lost so many I love and all the special days are still difficult, and it just helps me so much to be around everyone. It really lifts you up...and the kids are great medicine!!

The weather didn't cooperate but that didn't seem to slow any of us down did it. I kept my hanging baskets of petunias on the patio covered in sheets until Sunday morning and then I hung them up and told them to live!! I have a little fireplace outside so I put logs in there and had coffee about 6:00 a.m. and had my little "service."

We had 18 at my house and had wonderful food, fun and fellowship. All the kids were precious. Of course there was Stormy and Brock and then Shavonne's sister Rachea was here with her little Maddie and Janie had her grandson Kyan with her. We put all the kids and mommies in the guest bedroom and hid the eggs all through the house, mostly in the floor, including all the way down the hall, so when they came out there were eggs everywhere. They were delighted. Even baby Brock got in on the action. This was the third year we have done this at my house so each time, the kids (old and young haha) empty the plastic eggs into zippies to take home and then the eggs stay here for the next year. I keep them in a big old, like laundry basket almost, and they had all put them back in there and then Shavonne put Brock in the big middle of the basket and we got lots of pics. Then we had to do it with the other kids as well, so needless to say, eggs were all over the place again. What fun!! We also celebrated James' birthday and had an Easter bunny cake. Connie and Brice didn't get to come. It was just too cold to get them out so Susan took them a plate and Judy and Jo took turns coming over here and staying there with them. So that was pretty much how our day went. James and Shavonne got on the road home and we wrapped it all up about 5:00 with everyone tired and happy.

Eletia, I'll keep you in my prayers. I'm sure you will feel so much better when this is all said and done, so just try to take care of yourself and know that we are all thinking of you.

Guess I'd better get back to transcription. Just wanted to chime in from my end :). I will be going to see DB and Gene on Thursday and I am really looking forward to that. I'm taking some more quilts with me to take to the children's shelter. DB and Gene have been making them for the last few months and taking them so DB and I are going so she can show me where the quilts go. We are also going on a "shop hop" that they are having in that area where you go to a bunch of quilt shops...from Austin to San Antonio. Wish you were going with us Kack. Boy could we all get into some trouble. BTW Blair, Kack's page is wonderful. You do good work kiddo. Seriously...gotta get back to work. That's why I don't blog more...tooooo longwinded.

Love to All,
Peg

Hey Blair,
Thanks for the Ft. Worth Easter pictures, due to my "piece of crap of a computer" I was not able to pull some of the pictures up but I will keep trying. But the ones I saw were great....One thing you can say about our family "We can cook"....man that food looked good!!!
Hopefully, Peggy will send you some pictures of the Allen get-together and we can see how cute Stormy and Brock were on their Easter Day!!
And thanks for Ma's page Blair....looks great....
got to go....
love to all,
kittie
Does everyone have an "egg hangover" this morning?!?!?!?
Lets just say I am glad I didn't have to go home with everyone that was here yesterday after they ate all those "boiled" and "deviled" eggs!!!!
We had a great day here at the Hamersley house yesterday...Kraig had to work yesterday afternoon so he did not get to come, but I sent plenty of left-over to him...Everyone else was here and we had a very fun and relaxing day....Maggie and Megan hid Boston's egg inside the house this year and they showed him no mercy!!! It took him quite a while to find them all...
Mike, sorry you were on call but I am thankful there are dedicated people like you on call all the time to help when death occurs...Death knows no holidays!!!! And I know you are a blessing to all that you come in contact with....
Eletia, hang in there girl.....you will feel so much better once this is all over....guess we have to suffer sometimes so we can appreciate the good more....
Maggie enjoyed getting to see ya'll so much this weekend...she showed me the pictures she took of her and the "boys"....I loved the faces that her and Caden made....Mike, Maggie said that you felt like you were looking and talking with ME....hahaha.....
Well, got to get some work done.....will write more later....
Hope everyone had a great weekend....
love to all,
kittie

Hey Ctown! Blair just wanted to post the back side of the best butt in the Metro-plex. Please enjoy and I do accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. I do wish that you had a great "Jesus is Alive and Risen day"! We had a great time here watching Caden hunt those eggs. Thank you to everyone for the prayers for Betsy and we love you guys. Jared
Hey Everybody...Hope your Easter was fun. I really enjoyed lunch and fellowship today with bunch here in Ft. Worth. Caden had fun Easter egg hunting Miss all of you in CTown. Hope you had a good one. Hope the get together at Kittie's was fun. Hope Maggie and Kraig were able to make it back. They got to see a few of us here yesterday.

Maw, Ryan's sister, Chrissy, has had a really rough life. Makes us all very thankful for our own health. I'm glad that Ryan is getting to spend some time with her.

Yeah, Texas weather is crazy. It was cool here today but dry enough to do a little Easter egg hunting outside.

Aunt Peg, how was ya'lls get together????

Love all, Bear
Hey Family

HAPPY EASTER TO ONE AND ALL

Eletia, what a wonderful Easter note to all of us. I know this is really a tough time for you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God will give you the energy and a calm for your inter self these next few days until your surgery. That sounds like a wonderful Easter dinner, lucky people at your house today. Bet Caden was excited about the Easter bunny leaving a basket and he can help Toby with his. Sorry Mike had to be on call, you work so hard Mike and perform a wonderful service to mankind. It is still very cold and wet here today so I'm sure all activities will be indoors. We are going to Kittie and Gary D's for lunch at 1:00. She is hoping Maggie and Kraig will be back by then. Will just be the girls and Jimmie Lynn and Jackie and us. West Texas weather is amazing. Next week it will be back up in the 70's.Ryan said his sister is back in the hospital and most likely will not get out this time. She has really had a rough life with her illness, that is all she has ever known. Be back on later, glad to know everyone is doing great. Love, Maw
HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE. It was so good to hear from all of you. We are all doing fairly well. April, Zac, Caden & Toby are doing good. It has taken all of us a while to get used to 2 and 3 hour feedings again, but he is sure worth it all. We did have snow flurries here yesterday and is called for again today, but not supposed to stick. Maw, I too rememeber the night James was born and my gosh it snowed hard. I hope James and Ryan both had good birthdays. HAPPY BELATED. I have not done to well on the blogging as of late. Mike has to be on call this weekend and was called out last night. I kept Toby while his Mom & Dad and Caden went to visit Kory & Tamra. I have gotten up early and it appears that the Easter Bunny came by hear last night. I did not hear him, but there is two baskets full of goodies for someone. I got up early to start the turkey, ham and dressing. Its cold so we are having a traditional hot meal. Turkey, dressing, ham, and all the trimmings. I just didnt make rolls today, I will have some unhappy campers because of this, but I am on 600-800 calories per day and my energy level is extremely low, so standing is kinda of woosy. I get to drink Medifast for 15 days before my surgery to shrink my liver and try to loose some weight also, so the surgery wont be so tough and hopefully can be done laproscopic. It was good to see Maggie & Craig. I hope they didnt freeze at the ballgame. Hope we get to see them again sometime when they come for another game. Love to all. Eletia

Hey Family
Wow, thanks Peg for sending Blair the snow pic, can you believe it?? One of the biggest snow storms I can remember was the night James was born so it can happen in April. I believe J W's tomato and pepper plants have frozen, Ugh, oh well he can start all over next week. Susan your dad was telling me about calling April, April May and June when I told him about Toby. Was good to see you on the blog. Betsy tell us about your new job ?? April, thanks for calling me last night. Glad you are feeling good and got to go out to eat for your BD and also that you can now drive again. If your weather is like ours, I bet Caden does not have his game today. I guess colored eggs show up better in white snow, eh?? April said Maggie called her and maybe they would get to see them today. Well got to get the van warmed up and go to Dollar store and grocery store. My usual Sat routine. Wishing everyone a great Easter. A good time to stay in and warm and watch old movies. Love to all, Maw

Hey Family,

Boston has an Easter question that he wanted me to post to see if anyone in the family might have an answer.
We were talking earlier tonight about Easter and what it means....Well, Boston would like to know how the Easter Bunny got involved in Easter....and what a rabbit has to do with resurection?!?!?
And by the way Ma, I have a question....what ever happened to all those dyed baby chicks that we used to get from Winns for Easter?!?!? I never remember them once Easter was over....Did they become a "chick" feast for the dog?!?!? I just never remember them growing up into chickens!!!!
love to all,
kittie

First of all Eletia I will pray that the scope works and they don't have to be more invasive than that!! Maybe he just painted you the worse senerio....I know that you will feel like a new woman once this is done and over with....I heard that Caden is really keeping you in line...hahaha....Funny how smart they are!!! Poor Boston is constantly having to watch my back for me....He takes good care of me...hahaha
Blair the new pages are great!! Boston was thrilled that his page was first...I told him that I was sure it was from the oldest to the youngest but he insisted it was because he was soooo special...hahaha
The girls are doing great...Maggie and Kraig are coming to a Ranger game this weekend and hopefully will get to see all of you....Maggie bought Kraig all the homegame Ranger tickets for the whole season for Valentines Day so they will be making several trips ya'lls way this summer....Megan is doing her student teaching now and is just working and trying to finish school....

Hey everyone!!! I know it's just Tuesday and Easter isn't until Sunday, but HAPPY EASTER! With this week going the way it is I probably won't be able to get on later in the week to give everyone my Easter Blessings so you get them today!!!
The weather sure is nice and sunny, too sunny for my taste but I guess that's what summer's about! I think the rain is supposed to move back in on us tomorrow night.
Blair, I want to join in with the chorus in praising your hard work at keeping the site updated with pictures. The individual pages are too cute!!! Mr Toby Britches is precious and by the looks of the pictures I'd say Caden is such a good big brother. I still think about Christmas and how he thought Brock was his baby. It cracked me up!!! And when he held Brock and we said to hold his head up he grabbed Brock around his ears to keep his head up (I think that's the picture of Brock and Caden on the C-Town page)!!!
I'm going to try to get Brock to the mall today for Easter Bunny pictures so everyone stay tuned for them! Everyone enjoy their week and have a Blessed Easter!!!
God Bless,
James, Shavonne, and The Brockman

Hey family

I was checking the Blog and checked over on the Griffin side (hope that is allowed?) Now, what is this about Eletia having surgery? Speak up Nana and let us know, what, when and where? Are you okay? I pray that you are.
Love you, Maw
Hey All,

I haven't been on in days but just checked in and the site looks great Blair. It is really nice how you have done all the links and now like you said, if there are no new pics then we know we need to send :)

I went over about 9:00 this morning to help Susan get her mom and dad home. It was a big day for them. I think they said he had been away 77 days. He was very emotional and VERY glad to be home. I made sure his flag was out when they drove up since his military past is very important to him. They have redone things in the house to make it all easier and I think they will be very comfortable. I just know how glad Connie and Brice were to see their home and be in familiar surroundings again.

It is another beautiful day here. I worked a good part of the day yesterday in my back yard so it will be in better shape for Easter. As Kack said, everyone is invited here for lunch and an egg hunt. I invited Kack, JW and Ryan and asked Kittie and all her bunch to come and bring Jackie and Linnie and whoever all usually comes to her place. James and Shavonne and Brock will be here, as well as probably Shavonne's sister and her baby girl Maddie, Gary, Susan, Jill, Brandon, Stormy, Judy and Jo, and David and Janie and Janie's grandson Kyan. There is only one rule to coming to my house for Easter....everyone has to bring a basket and hunt eggs.... from the oldest to the youngest. Before we have made JW and Brice hunt, as well as all the other adults and we all had a great time. I think JW is feeling pretty well right now so he should be able to get in there again this year and hopefully we will get Brice and Connie over here and we will have to give Brice a little ride in his wheelchair to hunt but we will still make him hunt. It, of course, is not about the bunnies, eggs, hunting, etc. but it is a wonderful time to all be together and enjoy such a blessed time and all it brings. I remember a couple of times that Carol and I were home at Easter and Dalmer always made a really big deal out of everything. The wind was usually blowing so hard it blew the eggs away from the kids but everyone had such a great time being together. I wish the Ft Worth bunch could come too but we will have you in our hearts. Blair, I'll be sure to get some Easter pics to you for the site and also some new ones for Mariposa. I love all the baby pics on the site. Little Toby is so precious and Caden looks right at home with him.

If all goes well, the McNeelys should be moving soon into Mother's house. I was out the other night and when I went by there, they were moving some things into the beauty shop to store until they are ready to move in and it looked so good to see lights on and life there again. They are really nice people and Sheri absolutely loves the house and said she had always liked it and wished she could live there. So it will be good for everyone all around.

Well, I don't blog often but when I do, I am long winded haha. Hope everyone has a wonderful week and thanks again for all your hard work Blair.

Love to All,
Peg :)

Thanks Maw for the encouragement. I do this because I want to keep everybody connected. Wow, it is gorgeous here today in Arlington too. Warm and sunny. Just the way I like it. Bear
Hey family
Beautiful Sunday morning, just perfect here in West Texas. Hope it is the same for all of you everywhere. Bear, I love what you have done to the family pages, with all the Great Grandchildren. You are so loving and thoughtful. We all appreciate your effort so very much. Each page was great. I could not believe little Toby already dressed up in "real" clothes. Back when I had my babies, we kept them in soft cotton gowns for at least the first 3 months. Guess we thought it made them more comfortable on their tender skin. Wow, times have changed so much. Don't see "receiving blankets" any more either. I'm sure it is all for the better, change usually is. Mommy's now don't even have to wash out a dirty diaper like we did. Anyway, April and Zac, you have a family to really be proud of and I know you are. I enjoy Brock's page as he is always smiling so big and looks so happy. Stromy's pics are beautiful! She was digging up worms this week and gave me a handful. We have had so much rain, we have lots of worms right under ground. She said she had a Lady Bug but it flew away. Caden's train pics were darling and playing with Mike. I'm sure Kittie or Maggie will send you some pics of Boston to up date. Think he is going to start playing Little League. I love his pic with the iguana. He looks so brave. That thing got out last week and I had to pry it off the curtains in living room after he re-appreared several days later and put him back in the tank. It was not my biggest thrill. Boston had told me to call him when I found it and he would catch it but he was at school, my luck. Next Sunday is Easter and we are reminded that Jesus is indeed alive and with us today. Thank you Lord for all you do for us! Peggy said she was having an Easter egg hunt at her house that afternoon. April, hope you are feeling okay and getting some special time to love on those babies.Love to all. Maw
