Hi Everyone....Okay, I think I have a number pretty much on who is going to get to come to golf scramble. Next question....Who is planning on being here Friday or Saturday.....We would love to have one or both nights. I'm planning on having some supper on Saturday for everyone just like last year....That way we can also be able to visit too. So let me know what day you plan on being here as there are plenty places here with all the Fort Worthites to stay....
Love,
Blair
P.S. If you haven't decided yet or changed your mind, still not too late...Also, you don't have to play in the scramble to come...That's why I'm doing the Saturday thing too.

That is really sad....Ella was always so sweet. Is anyone from the family going to be able to go to the funeral. If you are please let them know that we are thinking about them. This is the first word of it I have heard of her passing away.
My heart also goes out to Jean Trull's family. She was a sweet lady too.
My heart also goes out to Buzz Parkhill's family.
Love,
Blair

Hey Happy Easter Ctown crew..
I was on facebook this evening and matched up with one of our cousins. His name is Jim Gowens, no not the Jimmie Gowens in New Deal. He lives here in DFW. Anyway, his Dad was brothers with Papa Dalmer's Daddy, Preston Clarence. Anyway, were are all directly related through General Washington Gowens all out there at the Crosbyton Cemetery.
Next cool thing is he is going to send me a family pic of General Gowens family....I'm so excited to see it and I promise I will share.
Next really cool thing is there is a huge Gowens Familiy Reunion every year in August in Mesquite which is here in the metroplex just west of Dallas.
Love,
Blair
P.S. And yes us Gowens' are "Melungeon Descent"

Just wanted to stop in to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Easter!
James, Brock, Brice, and I will be heading to Crosbyton tomorrow morning sometime, staying the evening, and then heading back to San Angelo after lunch Sunday. A quick (well semi-quick with a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 1/2 week old) trip but we're excited to introduce Brice Jackson to those family members that haven't had the pleasure to meet him. Wish all of you could be there too, not just to meet Brice but for us to get to see too.
This Easter will be so much different this year as we have another child! Super exciting, I'm anxious to see if Brock shares his Easter egg hunt with his Brudder since he kept giving his eggs away to his "girlfriend" at school yesterday!!! We'll see. . .
Sending love and prayers,
James, Shavonne, Brock, and Brice

Hey Everyone....Hope everyone is having a great week...It's hard to believe that a entire year has past since Dad passed away. Parts of the time seemed like forever ago and then parts of the time seem just like yesterday. I guess the hardest part is remembering that day so vividly right now. That is a day that I will never forget. Watching my Dad leave this Earth was up to this point in my life the most overwhelming, scary, heartbreaking, yet also peaceful feeling I've ever felt. I guess thats normal. I don't know. I have also had that question run through my mind since he has passed on why I could feel all those emotions at the same time. I guess what has been so weird about this situation is that it seems like dejavu this past week. The week before Dad past away, I got finished with our health screenings at work and went directly over to April's house for a birthday party for Toby. This year, did the exact same thing...Next, we had an Griffinsisters gathering that weekend, and we did kind of had an informal Griffinsisters gathering this past weekend. I'm not trying to reach on anything, I'm just looking at this is a time of reflection and healing. Life is so funny like that and for those of you have lost a parent, probably know exactly what I'm talking about. Anyway, the main thing that I wanted to say is that I miss and love you Dad. Blair
