Hey All,

Sounds like everyone had a really special day. The Ft. Worth pics are great and Blair we'll get you some for the site from this end. Wasn't it wonderful to be able to be with family and enjoy all the blessings. There are so many people who don't have family and we have a bunch of us to be thankful for. For me, it is very important to keep the connection with the ones I love because I have lost so many I love and all the special days are still difficult, and it just helps me so much to be around everyone. It really lifts you up...and the kids are great medicine!!

The weather didn't cooperate but that didn't seem to slow any of us down did it. I kept my hanging baskets of petunias on the patio covered in sheets until Sunday morning and then I hung them up and told them to live!! I have a little fireplace outside so I put logs in there and had coffee about 6:00 a.m. and had my little "service."

We had 18 at my house and had wonderful food, fun and fellowship. All the kids were precious. Of course there was Stormy and Brock and then Shavonne's sister Rachea was here with her little Maddie and Janie had her grandson Kyan with her. We put all the kids and mommies in the guest bedroom and hid the eggs all through the house, mostly in the floor, including all the way down the hall, so when they came out there were eggs everywhere. They were delighted. Even baby Brock got in on the action. This was the third year we have done this at my house so each time, the kids (old and young haha) empty the plastic eggs into zippies to take home and then the eggs stay here for the next year. I keep them in a big old, like laundry basket almost, and they had all put them back in there and then Shavonne put Brock in the big middle of the basket and we got lots of pics. Then we had to do it with the other kids as well, so needless to say, eggs were all over the place again. What fun!! We also celebrated James' birthday and had an Easter bunny cake. Connie and Brice didn't get to come. It was just too cold to get them out so Susan took them a plate and Judy and Jo took turns coming over here and staying there with them. So that was pretty much how our day went. James and Shavonne got on the road home and we wrapped it all up about 5:00 with everyone tired and happy.

Eletia, I'll keep you in my prayers. I'm sure you will feel so much better when this is all said and done, so just try to take care of yourself and know that we are all thinking of you.

Guess I'd better get back to transcription. Just wanted to chime in from my end :). I will be going to see DB and Gene on Thursday and I am really looking forward to that. I'm taking some more quilts with me to take to the children's shelter. DB and Gene have been making them for the last few months and taking them so DB and I are going so she can show me where the quilts go. We are also going on a "shop hop" that they are having in that area where you go to a bunch of quilt shops...from Austin to San Antonio. Wish you were going with us Kack. Boy could we all get into some trouble. BTW Blair, Kack's page is wonderful. You do good work kiddo. Seriously...gotta get back to work. That's why I don't blog more...tooooo longwinded.

Love to All,
Peg
